No prior teaching experience is required. This training is designed to take you from practitioner to teacher. What matters is that you have a solid personal practice and a genuine interest in sharing it.
YMCA Awards is a nationally and internationally recognised awarding body for fitness and wellness qualifications. A YMCA Awards Mat Pilates certificate allows you to teach professionally in Ireland, the UK and further afield, and is accepted by most fitness industry employers and studios.
You should have a consistent personal practice of at least six months before starting. You do not need to be at an advanced level, but familiarity with the foundational movements is important. If you are unsure, book a discovery call and we will advise honestly.
Yes. The entire programme runs across four weekends, specifically to allow you to keep your normal schedule. Many of our graduates complete the training while working full time.
Assessment includes a practical teaching assessment where you deliver a class to peers or students, a written component covering anatomy and Pilates theory, and ongoing observation throughout the course weekends. Full details are in the programme guide.
Many graduates go on to teach at yogahub studios. There is a structured pathway for qualifying graduates who want to explore teaching opportunities within the group. You will also have access to the yogahub Learning graduate community.
Yes. You can pay a €500 deposit to secure your place and complete the remaining payments before your course starts. Discounts are available on selected courses. Book a discovery call for full pricing details.
