No. Barre is ballet-inspired, not ballet. You need solid movement awareness and the ability to follow and cue sequences. Most graduates come from yoga, Pilates or general fitness instruction.
For Barre, yes. The YMCA endorsed Barre qualification is specifically designed as an intensive weekend format. You leave with a full qualification, a class plan you built yourself, and the practical confidence to use both immediately.
Your YMCA endorsed qualification qualifies you to teach Barre at any studio, gym or facility that recognises the qualification, which includes yogahub and most Irish and UK fitness venues.
Your YMCA Level 2 Barre qualification, choreography templates, music structure guidance, and access to the yogahub graduate network. You also leave having taught a full class in front of your peers.
Graduates are welcome to audition for Barre class slots at yogahub. Availability depends on the schedule at the time, but graduates are prioritised when positions open.
