Teacher training gave me a deeper understanding of how the exercises work—and the chance to grow in something I genuinely enjoy.

Reformer was such a great mix of low-impact and strength-building. But what I loved most about the teacher training was the sense of community.”
What You Need to Know Before You Join
Quick answers to common questions about our teacher training programmes, from scheduling to certification.
That’s what we’re here for. If you’re unsure which course is most to your liking, book a discovery call – click here – and we’ll help you choose the programme that suits your goals and background, providing valuable materials that will give you greater clarity and assurance in making a decision on whether to enrol on any of our courses.
This is the most commonly asked question we get: it is a mental leap to go from practitioner to someone qualified to teach.
A strong practice is not required in order to enrol on our teacher training courses. Anyway, the definition of an ‘advanced practitioner’ is pretty shaky – what are the defining qualities of this imagined practitioner? Let’s say you’re strong, flexible, can do all the poses without breaking a sweat. By no means are you at a great advantage when enrolling on a teacher training. These courses are more interested in the building blocks underlying the practice rather than the practice itself (though by extension, through these building blocks, one’s practice is benefitted).
Whether it’s anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, much of what’s covered on these courses is beyond the scope of a standard in-studio practice: it’s new territory for the vast majority of learners, and so there’s every opportunity to make the most of the training from the point of enrolling.
Certainly. In our experience, many that enrol on our courses do not do so specifically with it in mind to then go on and teach; their greater aspiration, at least at that moment, is to expand their practice – and if they want to then use the qualification to teach, that’s a question for another time.
Some find, after they progress through the training, that there is a desire to teach that they didn’t know was there when they first enrolled; others – even if they excelled during the course, and their practice flourished – are content not to go on and teach.
Whether enrolling to deepen your practice or change up your career, neither is invalid.
Yes. All of our teacher training courses are internationally recognised and meet the highest standards in their respective fields.
Our yoga teacher training is certified by Yoga Alliance, who are the most widely recognised awarding body for yoga teacher training qualifications, globally.
Our mat Pilates, reformer and barre teacher training courses are certified by YMCA Awards, a UK-based awarding body that are regulated by Ofqual; their qualifications adhere to internationally recognised standards in education. Note that there are greater variables in regulations for mat Pilates and reformer in any given country; if you would like clarity on what those variables are, and how our courses’ regulated standards are beneficial in meeting these variables, please book a discovery call
We offer early bird, single payment, and installment plans. Full details are shared during your discovery call
Absolutely. Many of our graduates go on to teach at one of our eight studio locations.
We have a head of yoga, Brian Malone, and a head of Pilates, Dearbhla Mitchell; both are invested in seeing graduates take the next step and teach. There are a number of considerations when hiring new teachers – aptitude, eagerness, availability – that Brian and Dearbhla keep in mind. For those going on to teach, Brian and Dearbhla have robust onboarding systems in place that benefit those graduates starting to lead group practices at our studios. Full attendance is a crucial factor, but knowing how life happens, we have several fallbacks in place for each of our teacher training courses to better ensure that learners keep on track of their learning, achieving full attendance.
To find out more about these fallbacks, and how they could resolve any potential attendance issues you can foresee, click here to book a discovery call.
